Summer is off to a Great Start

They say, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” Well, thanks to the great work of our counselors, CITs, and board members, our 2024 TIPYC season is off to a great start!

Boats are in the water, sails are checked, the Sailing Platform and Yacht Shop are clean and tidy, and US Sailing Instructor Trainer Joe Shields is leading ten instructor candidates through US Sailing Certification.

Here are some highlights:

  • Starting today, four TIPYC counselors, plus others from Chaumont/Junior Division, Henderson Harbor, and the Antique Boat Museum, will invest 30 instruction hours this week. It’s good to see River and Lake kids working together to stay safe on the water.
  • The TI Park Corporation holds its “Volunteer Fair” this Friday from 4 to 6 PM at the Pavilion. It will be followed by “Rock the Dock.” BYOB. TIPYC will have a table to expand the reach of our growing organization.
  • Hold onto your bowlines because the TIPYC Season Opener is this Saturday (June 29) from 5 to 7 PM at the Yacht Shop. If you’re in Park, please join us. All are welcome, especially volunteers, kids, and adults!

On behalf of Team TIPYC, thank you all for your time, talent, and treasure. Together, we are making TIPYC work, fun, and popular—three of the first Sailing Program sessions are full, and there is a waiting list. Register now!
