The Antique Boat Museum in Clayton is hosting the US Sailing Small Boat Instructor Level 1 course from June 19 – 21, 2026. This comprehensive program is designed to equip aspiring instructors with the skills, safety protocols, and teaching techniques needed to effectively manage a sailing classroom both on and off the water.
Earning your Level 1 Instructor certification from US Sailing—the national governing body for the sport—is a significant step for anyone looking to teach sailing and contribute to our local sailing community.
Important Registration Details
Please note that this certification consists of both an online and an in-person section. Students must complete the online portion of the course and become an active member of US Sailing before they are allowed to register for the in-person dates.
