Summer 2024 Events

US Sailing Small Boat Certification June 26-28Register now for the US Sailing Small Boat course. Upon successful completion of this program (both online and in-person), sailors 16 and older will be certified “Level 1 Instructor” by the US Sailing, our national governing body.

Season Opening Event Saturday, June 29Join us at the Yacht Shop at 5PM for food and drinks to celebrate the beginning of our summer program. Merchandise will be available for sale. Rain or Shine.

Sailing Program - First Session July 1-4The first weekly session of our Sailing Program will kick off on July 1. Kids (ages 8-12) from 9:30a-12p and youth (ages 12-18) from 1p-3:30p) Registration is required!

Sailing Program - Second Session July 8-11The second weekly session of our Sailing Program continues. Kids (ages 8-12) from 9:30a-12p and youth (ages 12-18) from 1p-3:30p). We'll prep for a weekend race too. Registration is required!

Race - TIPYC at ABM Saturday, July 13Let’s go racing with our Antique Boat Museum (ABM) friends. Meet at the ABM dock in Clayton (time TBD) for an afternoon of racing for all ages. We’ll take our sailboats, but you can also bring yours. Pray for wind!

Sailing Program - Third Session July 15-18The third weekly session of our Sailing Program continues. Kids (ages 8-12) from 9:30a-12p and youth (ages 12-18) from 1p-3:30p) Registration is required!

Public Board Meeting Saturday, July 27Join us for our annual meeting at the Pavilion (Time TBD) to discuss key issues. We welcome all, especially new volunteers!

Race - TIPYC Cup Saturday, July 27Meet at the Pavilion for an afternoon of racing to see if you can win the TIPYC Cup (formerly known as the Dickson Cup). We’ll have sailboats ready and merchandise for sale. Pray for wind!

End of Season Party Thursday, August 8We’ll close out the Sailing Program with our annual party at the Pavilion, where we’ll have food, drinks, games, and merchandise. Don’t forget the tub races, watermelon contest, and final jump. Start time is noon weather permiting.
